The Gary Kirsten Academy is on its way to join up with Gary and the Delhi Daredevils at the IPL for a once in a lifetime experience.

Although the Daredevils haven’t had the greatest of tournaments, its been a huge improvement on their performances of last year. Young players have stepped up and made a name for themselves and the likes of Duminy and Tahir have showed why they are so highly rated in world cricket.

The GKCA team will now have the opportunity to get an in depth look at the intense environment that is the IPL as well as the many amazing sights of India. To experience 90 000 people screaming at every ball and to feel the pressures of tight games going down to the last over will be an invaluable learning experience and one that our team has been looking forward to for a while.

Delhi Daredevils off and running

We all wondering when Kevin Pietersen will be back? But in the meantime, Delhi is off and running and another star is beginning to shine in the Delhi side. in the first game where Delhi lost to Royal Challengers, JP Duminy played a great innings to get the team to a competitive total, but then, step in the incredible Virat Kolhi, and that was that. However, in the second match, JP Duminy showed his class again and steered the Delhi Daredevils over the line in an exciting game against a strong Kolkata Knight Riders team.

Today the Daredevils take on the Chennai Super Kings, Probably the stiffest challenge yet. Gary Kirsten will be hoping his main man Kevin Pietersen can make a return and JP Duminy can continue his fine form. If that all comes together, There is no saying how far this new look Delhi Team can go.

Its been an exciting start so far to IPL 7, with a few upsets as well. The one thing we have noticed though, is that the South Africans are looking dominant in their respective teams. Jacques Kallis, AB De Villiers, David Miller, JP Duminy, Dale Steyn. All of them putting in match winning performances at stages and it will be exciting to see how these players progress through the tournament.
