GKCA off to flying start in 2015

The Gary Kirsten Cricket Academy has hit the ground running at the start of 2015 and we have already worked with some exciting talent. With the World Cup around the corner, cricket is at the front of everyone’s mind. Gary is excited at the prospect of South Africa going all the way and will be with the squad for most of the tournament.

We have also had Tom Curren (son of the late Kevin Curren), James Burke, Aneesh Kapil and Harun Harinath from Surrey County Cricket Club training with us. Graeme Ford, head coach of Surrey has sent the boys to do some work in Cape Town with Gary and there is some huge potential coming through the ranks.

James Price from the Warriors in Port Elizabeth has also been back for some fine tuning to his game and trust that the new year will bring some more runs after a promising start to his season.

Gary is also currently doing some work with 2 other county players in Dawid Malan and Nic Compton of Middelsex. Both players are really hoping for a big start to the English summer and hopefully push for higher honors once again.

Its a frantic, but exciting start to the new year and we are really excited for the year ahead and what it will bring. The world cup is close, what are your predictions? who is going to win it? let us know your thoughts.
