As IPL 7 draws ever nearer, the excitement builds and expectations grow. Most of the teams have arrived in the UAE and are starting to gel as new faces are introduced. Gary Kirsten is a new face in IPL cricket and everyone is keen to see how the Delhi Daredevils get on with new structures and a new captain as well in Kevin Pietersen.
We are all extremely excited to see how the Gary Kirsten/Kevin Pietersen partnership works and not many fans would be betting against them going all the way.
this is what Gary Kirsten had to say from the recent Delhi Daredevils camp;
“I have enjoyed connecting with the squad members of the Delhi Daredevils. It has been really interesting working with a variety of cultures within the squad.
Our preparation has been solid and I think everyone is looking forward to the tournament starting. We play the Sunrisers tomorrow in a warm up game and that will give us an opportunity to formulate our identity as a team.
The Facilities at the ICC cricket academy here in Dubai are fantastic.”
There are a few exciting months of cricket that lie ahead of us and teams will be looking to start well and create pressure come the first few games.
