The coaching sessions run by the Gary Kirsten Cricket Academy (GKCA) in Cape Town are becoming increasingly popular with high-school age cricketers wanting to improve their skills and standard of play.
Due to its location, GKCA mostly works with players that live in and around Cape Town, or are able to travel to Cape Town.
There is no need for young cricketers from Johannesburg to feel left out though. For the first time, GKCA will be running two open coaching camps in Johannesburg. The first training camp will be held on the 10th and 11th of August at St. John’s College in Houghton (Johannesburg), and the second on the 29th and 30th of August at St. David’s Marist, Inanda (Sandton).
There is no need to travel to the academy in Cape Town, this time the academy is coming to you.
During the training camps, participants will receive theoretical training (lectures), practical training (batting, bowling and fielding) and feedback about their playing standard and style (video analysis and one-on-one discussions with Gary Kirsten and other GKCA coaches).
This is the first time GKCA is running High Performance coaching camps in Johannesburg. Demand is high and space is limited. If you are an avid cricketer aged between 15 and 18 and you want to improve the standard of your playing, don’t miss out on this unique opportunity.
