GKC continues sterling work in Mauritius

GKC Coaches Sivuyile Mfunelwa and Brad Moses recently returned from a three month assignment in Mauritius.

The sport is starting to take off on the island with GKC visiting for a second year in a row.

The pair were based at the Northfields Cricket Club and coached players between the ages of 7 and 17.

“I learnt a lot during my time in Mauritius. I enjoyed meeting new people and working with the kids,” Mfunelwa said.

“There is a real hunger for the sport and the kids are picking up the game quickly. It was good to see how much they improved since we first started,” Mfunelwa said.

Moses said that he was inspired by the people on the island and returned home feeling energised. “There certainly is potential for a brighter future for these kids,” Moses said. “The talent of the kids was ever improving and the presence of sponsors like GKC and KFC was important for us. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the camp,” Moses concluded.
