A good solid partnership is one of the key elements to winning any cricket game.
That is why two of South Africa’s leading brands in their respective fields have agreed to join forces.
Gary Kirsten Cricket (GKC) and Sportsmans Warehouse are set to work hand in hand in 2017 to help sharpen the skills of some of the country’s most promising young cricketers.
In an exclusive deal, cricketers will receive a free coaching session from an accredited GKC coach when they purchase cricket related equipment for a minimum amount of R1500 from any of the seven Western Cape based Sportsmans Warehouse stores.
GKC which is led by former Proteas player and coach, Gary Kirsten have made giant strides in the field of private coaching both locally and internationally.
While Sportsmans Warehouse which opened its first store in Cape Town in 1986, is Southern Africa’s’ biggest sports equipment and sportswear warehouse.
Sportsmans Warehouse Chief Operating Officer, Bradley Moritz is excited about the newly formed partnership.
“We are passionate about cricket at Sportsmans Warehouse and we have a long history of providing cricketers of all levels with the widest range of cricket equipment from all of the leading brands,” Moritz said.
He continued, “Teaming up with Gary Kirsten Cricket is a natural fit for us to further assist cricketers by giving them access to truly world class coaching to further develop their skills and enjoy the game.”
Kirsten says this partnership is a start of great things between the two brands.
“I think it’s exciting. We hope that it is the start of a long relationship with Sportsmans Warehouse on the cricket side of their business which has been significant over many years,” Kirsten said.
There are only 300 free coaching vouchers available this year and it will be handed out on a first-come first-serve basis.
The first 100 will be awarded to customers from 11 January 2017.
Kirsten believes these vouchers will be snapped up very swiftly.
“I think that we will sell the first 100 vouchers very quickly. Then we can get stuck in to the coaching of these aspirant players. We want to give them the opportunity to hear our best thinking for their games,” Kirsten said.
The remaining 200 will be available later on in the year.
In addition, customers also have the chance of winning a GKC group coaching session for their school team.
As part of the partnership the experienced team at GKC will also provide additional training to the already well versed Sportsmans Warehouse staff on the cricket equipment available in-store.
This will no doubt help Sportsmans Warehouse staff to better advise potential customers.
GKC Coaching Vouchers are only available at: The Point Shopping Mall, Canal Walk, West Coast Village Shopping Centre, Somerset West Value Mart, Tokai-On-Main, Tygervalley and Rondebosch.
